Discover a finance path that helps you complete your training and pursue your first professional flying job.

Qualified Tampa Bay Aviation Priority Access Training students may be able to finance their training from the first lesson through Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFII. After training, payments adjust with income, giving graduates greater flexibility as their aviation careers take off.

Financing Built for Career-Track Pilots

Edly offers income-based student loans for qualified Tampa Bay Aviation Priority Access Training students. Unlike a traditional fixed-payment loan, Edly’s income-based repayment model is designed so payments after training are based on a percentage of income.

Edly Financing Is Available to Qualified Priority Access Training Students

Edly financing through Tampa Bay Aviation is specifically available for qualified students enrolled in the Priority Access Training program.
* Full-time enrollment required. Must be 18+ and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, current FAA First or Second Class Medical.

How to Apply

Step 1: Talk to your admissions team. Confirm your training plan and the total cost you want to finance.
Step 2: Prequalify in minutes. Use your school’s Edly link. Prequalifying is a soft credit pull: no impact to your credit score.
Step 3: Accept your terms. Review your offer and sign. Approved funds are disbursed directly to your school.

Financing Designed Around a Pilot's Career

A pilot’s income can change significantly as they progress from training to working as a flight instructor, building flight time and eventually pursuing higher-paying professional pilot opportunities.

Edly’s income-based repayment model is designed with that progression in mind. Rather than relying on the same fixed payment regardless of what you’re earning, qualifying payments are based on a percentage of your income.

Train now and let your payments grow with your career. Edly’s income-based repayment can start over 50% lower than a typical fixed-payment loan, helping eligible Tampa Bay Aviation students focus on building hours, not managing a one-size-fits-all bill. With in-school payments as low as $20 per month, Edly offers a more flexible path to the flight deck. Individual terms vary.

529 Plans Can Now Be Used for Flight Training at TBA
Great news for aspiring pilots and their families: 529 college savings plan funds can now be used for non-degree flight training at Tampa Bay Aviation.
Recent updates to federal law expanded 529 eligibility to include certain postsecondary credentialing programs. TBA qualifies under the new rule so eligible students may use 529 funds for qualified training expenses here.
Typically covered expenses include tuition and lesson fees, required program materials, and FAA written and checkride fees.
Families should confirm eligibility and documentation requirements with their 529 plan administrator and a qualified CPA. Our admissions team is happy to provide itemized invoices and supporting documentation.
